Blessington club notes

August 11, 2014
Senior Notes: It was a great weekend for our adult men's teams who both qualified for the knockout phases at their respective championships. First up was the Jun A championship which was held in Bray on Thurs night. Blessington played old rivals St Pat's and put on a great display sealing a win 1-09 to 0-07. This win means that with one championship game yet to play Blessington have already qualified to the semi final. Our Seniors then travelled to Aughrim on Fri night where they played Tinahely. After a solid performance the game ended with a win for Blesso 2-14 to 1-11. This now means that the seniors are through to the quarter final of the championship with the draw yet to be made. Our Jun A's played in the intermediate Div 2a league this weekend where they played Shillelagh. Blessington never really looked in any danger for this one and went on to win the game 2-20 to 1-02. There is also a busy week ahead in both leagues. Our seniors take on Bray on Tues night at 7.30pm and will take on Carnew at 7.30pm on Fri night. Both games are at home. Our Jun A's are playing Aughrim on Sat evening at 7pm away. Our Jun C take on Dunlavin away on Mon 11 Aug at 7.30pm in the West league Group 1. We are waiting on draw for 1/4 final in the championship to be done to see who we play on weekend of 23-24 of Aug.
