St Patricks GAA notes

Our St. Patricks GAA Summer Camp,as we mentioned in last weeks notes,begins on August the 19th until August 21st (Tuesday-Thursday) at Dunbur Park and starts at 9:30 am until 1:30pm. Both the main pitch and our club hall will be available so make sure and register now. You may contact Gary Duffy at 086-3529445 to register.There is a family rate available, €40 for the first child and €30 for every other child. All children are available between the ages of 3 and 10 years old.This is great experience for the kids and well worth your while to get them involved in learning the skills of our game.
We have a Nursery every Saturday morning for Boys and Girls Football under 8 years old born in 2006 or 2007. The football nursery starts at 11am at Dunbur Park.You may contact Triona Keogh at 086-8974811.There is also a Hurling Nursery and that starts at 11:45am every Saturday morning and you may contact John Joe McCoy at 087-2388139.
All new families are most welcome.
We also have under 8 Boys football and hurling and girls under 8 football and this is for children born in 2006 and 2007.Stephen Farrell is looking after the Boys football 086-8147999, Alan Lawlor is looking after the Boys hurling 086-2784498 and Liam Keogh is looking after the under 8 girls football team and he may be contacted at 086 -2120100
We also have teams for boys and girls under 10 years born in 2004 or 2005 and the same at under 12 for both boys and girls born in 2002 and 2003.We are looking for all young new players and a full list of our mentors and teams are posted on our website or by contacting any member of our club. We also of course cater for under 14, under 16 and Minor.
We have a very strong structure at underage now and we want to keep working hard at coaching our young players and teaching them the
proper skills of our game.
All our new club gear is in stock and we even have club gear for 0-6 months upwards!
Our Tuck Shop and Sports/Gear shop is open every Saturday morning at Dunbur Park.
Our under 14 girls team won the County League Championship last week by winning against Baltinglass and Megan Dunne lifted the winning cup and in her speech thanked all the mentors and indeed Terry Kavanagh for organising the fixtures throughout the season. It was a great team effort and indeed the club are very proud of this teams achievements. The final score was St.Patricks 7-16 to Baltinglass 0-02.
Our club minors were presented with their County Championship minor winning medals for last year in the Clubhouse last Saturday night. It was a great night and we now hope that they can get back to doing the business by retaining the Minor Football a Championship for 2014.Now that we have mentioned our minor footballers "Well Done" to Tommy Whittle who played at no 10 for the under 19 Leinster Rugby Team last weekend.
Don't forget tonight Wednesday 13th of August our under 14 football team play their League Final Division 1 v Baltinglass at Ballinakill Rathdrum at 7:30 pm. So we need all the support we can get.
Our Senior Footballers are away to Kiltegan this Thursday 14th August in the Division 1 Campus Oil League at 7:30 pm.
Our Senior hurlers play in the Coogan Hardware Senior Hurling championship against Glenealy in Aughrim on Saturday next at 7:00 pm.This should be a great Chapionship game so all support is welcome.
