KING OF THE FAIRIES
Sponsorship sheets are now in circulation for the big fairy drop taking place on the August bank holiday Sunday. What's this you ask. It's a fund raiser where six willing participants are dressed in fairy costumes and dropped off 15 miles from Carnew. They have to make their way back to the sports field, but they will have no phone and no money on them! Taking part will be Thomas "pheasant" Kennedy, Diarmuid Doran, Chucky House, Liam Kenny, Shane Austin (who is already a bit of a fairy) and Maurice Molloy. You can guess how long it will take for the first fairy to get back which will cost you €2 and the first prize is €200 with €50 for 2nd and 3rd. Lines can be bought from any player from the senior, juvenile and ladies teams. The fairies return will coincide with the field day organised by the ladies gaa players which starts at 2pm on the same day. Hopefully we will see you there for what promises to be a great fun day out for all the family.
STRICTLY COME DANCING
The line up is almost full for the strictly come dancing nights in November between ourselves and kilrush. If anyone else would like to join the lineup please contact a committee member. We will also be looking for people to give a hand with fund raising ideas for this event. The money raised will go towards developing the club facilities and other projects in the pipeline .
