Arklow Seabreeze Festival
The Seabreeze Festival of Football took place on Saturday, the 19th of July. Teams of U8/U10 girls from Wexford, Wicklow and Carlow descended on Pearse Park to partake in what turned out to be a football extravaganza. The level's of skill on display from this age group was amazing. Well done to everyone involved! Thank you to all the parents that brought sandwiches, cakes, buns, biscuits etc; to all our volunteers who helped make this tournament a success; to our visiting teams Kilanerin (Wexford), Clonee (Wexford), Baltinglass, An Tochar, Newtown, Clonmore (Carlow )and all our own AGB teams - thank you for taking part. Every girl playing in the tournament received a beautiful medal for their morning's football and most importantly, every girl went home with a smile on their face. Thank you to Eamon and Mary Burke, and Pat Fitzgerald, for sponsoring the event. Colm Moules from the Seabreeze committee addressed the large crowd. He thanked everyone for coming and thanked all the teams for taking part in the tournament. He also thanked AGB Ladies for a wonderful morning of fun and enjoyment. Well done all!!

Academy
Academy is running from 11.15am-12.15pm each Saturday morning on the astroturf, in Pearse Park. Come join the fun and make new friends. This caters for boys and girls aged 4 to 6.

U10 U9 Boys
After a fantastic display from the U10/U9 boys at the away blitz in Shillelagh it was back to training this week. AGB will host the next blitz on Saturday the 26th of July in Pearse Park. Parents are asked to bring along sandwiches and cakes for the refreshments after the matches. New players are always welcome. Training takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm and Saturday mornings from 11.15am.

U12 Boys
The next league game for the U12 Boys is on Monday the 21st of July in Ballymoney against Annacurra. The boys also have a challenge game with Castletown, who have kindly offered to travel up to Ballymoney on Tuesday night, the 22nd. This will be the third time playing Castletown this season, with the previous games being very close encounters between two very evenly matched teams. Training has been going well and continues in Ballymoney every Monday and Wednesday from 7-8 pm. The boys continue to improve week on week and there has been a fantastic buzz around Ballymoney recently with great support from all the parents. New players always welcome.

U14 Girls
The U14 girl's completed their Division 1 League campaign on Tuesday the 15th in Bray and came away with victory. The girls have played better and lost this year so this was a good result even though they were below par. The scoreline of AGB 5-10 to Bray 2-2 would suggest a one sided game but Bray never stopped hassling and fighting for every ball and would have had more to show only for good work by AGB's backline. The girls never really got into top gear and as a group they will look to improve in the weeks leading up to Championship. The girls will be back in training Thursday knowing that after a league campaign which heralded 7 wins from 10, that they are a match for anyone when they play well. Good result girls. Well done!

Senior Men
The Men's team was beaten by Hollywood in the back door round of the Senior Championship. The lads gave themselves too much to do with a poor first half showing but battled strongly in the second half to come within a couple of scores of the opposition. However some goal chances were missed, which in the end proved crucial.
