St. Patricks GAA club notes

Well done to our u-14 ladies Feile team who have won the county Feile title threeyears in a row.St Pats won an exciting final against AGB and will now go on to represent the county in this years National Feile in Connaught this summer.On Saturday the Pats girls topped Group 2 with victories over Blessington,St Nicholas and Eire Og.Sarah Evans,Niamh Caffrey were among the goal scorers in the rarlier games and all of the panel lined out.This set up a semi final on the Sunday against Bray Emmets.Pats playing against a strong breeze led 1-01 to 0-1 at half time.St. Pats scored two goals in the second half one by Sinead Mc Gettigan and the other by Niamh McSorley and a further three points from the fit again Saoirse O Reilly secured a place for us in the final against AGB who beat Blessington in the other semi final. Saoirse O Reilly who was beginning to cause problems for the opposition scored the first point and Arklow kept pressing against our team as they were wind assisted.Arklow were then awarded a penalty and this was brilliantly saved by our county goalkeeper Megan Dunne and Aine Cahill was the first on hand to clear the ball.
In the second half both teams exchanged points and both defences were playing very well.Our captain,Aine Cahill attacked on numerous occasions from the centre back position and this really helped our forwards to score incluning Niamh Caffrey and Sinead Mc Gettigan who scored two points.Weronika Kuzio scored the leading point from twenty five metres and victory was sealed when Sinead McGettigan scored her fourth point.The final score St Patricks 0-7 and AGB 1-2 Everyone of the panel lined out and it was a grat team effort and well done to the coaches and mentors including Brian McSorley,Brendan Kavanagh,Martin Byrne,Dave Whelan,Cassandra Dunne,Joanne Kavanagh and Patrice Evans.
The Club will now be looking for sponsers for this great Feile team who could indeed win the All Ireland.

Patrice Evans has phone covers in stock for all types of phones.Our Tuck shop is open every Saturday morning and childrens training takes place at the same time.Club memberships are now overdue and you may contact Eddie Leonard or any committee member.
The senior ladies continue train and there next match is against An Tochar in Dunbur Park on the 11th of May.
Our new notice boards are now up in the clubhouse and they will be kept up to date weekly.
The winning Lotto numbers for April 14th were 15 22 24 25 and the bonus number was 11.Justin Heffernan and Rebecca Waters shared match 3 winnings.The Jackpot is now at £5650 euros.
Well done to our Senior footballers who beat KIltegan in DIVISION 1 of the Campus League the final score was St Patricks 4-17 to Kiltegans 2-5.Our team really played well with Stephen Duffy and Brian Coen really playing fantastic football. Overall it was a grat display from the whole team.
