Ashford GAA Notes
April 07, 2014
This year's poker night was held this Saturday in the Bel Air Hotel. It proved to be a great success yet again. We would like to thank Scott for organising it. We would also like to thank Momentum for providing prices for the raffle. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a great night!
This year's membership fees are now due. They are as follows: Adults €50, Juveniles €20, Family €75 and if you have 3 or more juvenile members in one family the fee is only €50. These fees include a €10 levy for the development fund which will be used in improving facilities at the club.
Advertisement is now available for the scoreboard. The fee is €100 and you receive a free county draw ticket. Please contact any member of the management committee for more details.
Our Intermediates lost away to Eire Og last Saturday by 3 points. They have won one and lost two so far so they will be looking for better returns over their next few games.
Our under 14's play their first league game tonight, Wednesday away to Clan na Gael (Kilmac/Enniskerry) in Kilmac pitch at 7.00. Meeting in Ashford at 6.00
Our Nursery continues on Friday nights at 6.15 in the pitch. This is aimed at introducing 4 to 6 year olds to Gaelic games through fun games based coaching. It is open to boys and girls and new members are always welcome.
We host our first Go Games this Friday night in Ashford for Under 8's and 10's at 6.45. As always we are looking for any help with the juveniles so even if you don't have any experience please give us a call and get involved. If you should have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact club coaching co-ordinator Stephen Behan on 086 6018781.
Congratulations to Intermediate player Aaron Nugent who was on the Wicklow Hurling Panel which won the Division 2A League final in Navan at the weekend.
Gum shields must now be worn by all players so please ensure that everyone has one for both training and matches as you cannot play without it.
