It was a sad week for Blessington GAA and the Blessington Community with the sad passing of Cian Gardner. Cian was only 10 years old and played hurling and football with the club from Academy to U10. He had just moved up to the U12 panel in 2014. Cian passed away after a courageous battle with a short and unexpected illness at Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin on 2 Apr 2014. Darling son of Deirdre (Doyle) and Jason and wonderful brother of Ronan, Senan and Orlaith. Funeral service at The Church of Our Lady, Blessington on Monday 7th at 11.15am followed by cremation in Mount Jerome. Ar dheis De, go raibh a anam dilis. As a mark of respect to Cian and his family all Juvenile pitch and club activity was cancelled until Mon 7 Apr.

Juvenile Notes
Our U16s will play away to Michael Dwyers in Kiltegan on Mon 7 Apr in Rd 1 of the league while the U14 team will play their Rd 1 away to Bray Emmets on Wed 9 Apr. U12s Hurling

(Blessington only , aka WGs 2) training starting this Tues 6pm to 7.30pm. Any u10's at a loose end also welcome. U8/U10 Go Games Football will be held in Donard/The Glen. Teams participating will be Blessington, Baltinglass and Hollywood. U8 hurlers will play Kill at home in the North Kildare League o Sun 13 Apr at 10.30am. Please come out and support all our players. BLESSINGTON GAA 2 DAY EASTER CAMP will be held at the pitch for Boys & Girls aged 5-12 Years. Current & New Members welcome. Tuesday 22nd & Wednesday 23rd April. 2 Day Gaa Skills/Fun Camp 10am-2pm. Senior Notes
Our seniors had a free weekend and trained on Sunday morning instead. They will play Carnew next Sunday at 11.00am in Blessington. Our intermediates had a busy week as they beat Naas in a challenge game in Blessington last Wednesday night and played against Dunlavin in Blessington on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, after a brave second half display against the wind, Blessington couldn't find enough to get ahead and Dunlavin went on to win the game 2-10 to 1-07. A minute silence was also held in memory of Cian Gardner RIP.

Club Notes
The club lotto was not won on 25 Mar and rolls over to €5400 on 8 Apr where the draw will be held in Bealins. Please support. Tickets for the 2014 Development Draw are available from all Committee and Players at €50 each. The Draw which has a Total Prize Fund of €66,750, is spread over three months helps raise funds for our Club. Each Draw has 1st Prize of €10,000, 2nd €5,000, 3rd €2,500, 4th €1,500, 5th €1,000 and 15 prizes of €150 each. The Draws will be held on 11th April, 16th May and 20th June.
