Baltinglass and Stratford GAA clubs lost a staunch supporter with the passing of Harry Barrett; Harry inherited his love of football from his father Dick who was a great Stratford player back in the 1960s.
His great favourite in recent was his grandson Henry Sinnott and on my last meeting with him he was looking forward to seeing the flying corner forward leading out Baltinglass in the county final.
His funeral took place at Baltinglass cemetery on Saturday after requiem mass in the local church. Our sympathy to his large and extended family.
