OLIVER O'FARRELL

It is with deep regret that Bray Emmet's GAA Club announced the death of Oliver O'Farrell, long-time member and club Chairman from 1984 to 1986. Oliver was a fine hurler in his young days and played Minor for Wicklow in 1956 and 57.

He was a member of the St. Kevins club that won Senior hurling championships in 1961 and '63. One of his pet projects was the restoration of the St. Kevin's Club premises 'An Lar' on the Dargle Road.

In his work with RTE Oliver also had many GAA connections. He was the sound operator on many match and other broadcasts by the late Michael O'Hehir.
His funeral took place to Springfield cemetery after Mass in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer Bray on Tuesday.

We wish to join with the committee and members of the Bray Emmets Club in extend sympathies to his wife Marie and children Fiona, Fergal and Sinead. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
May he rest in peace.
