Leinster JFC: Bolton to the rescue for Kildare
June 13, 2013
Kildare 0-8
Wicklow 0-7
Kildare set up their third Leinster Junior football final appearance in as many years after beating Wicklow by the minimum at Newbridge last night.
The Lilywhites began the better of the two teams with both Cian Bolton and Paddy Mahon chipping in with scores.
Points from Brian Coen and goalkeeper Robert Lambert brought Wicklow back into the game but another Bolton score separated the teams by the bare minimum at the break, 0-4 to 0-3.
The visitors dominated the second half with Coen in excellent scoring form and went 0-7 to 0-5 clear. After a Seamus Hanafin point, Keith Cribbin produced a fantastic score to bring the sides level five minutes from time and Bolton stepped up with a well taken free to put the Lillies through.
