The Late Liam Odlum

Another link with the Newtown team that won the SFC in 1954 was severed with the death of Liam Odlum. "Kicker" as he was better known had a long career with club and county and was highly popular with friend and foe alike.

Even in recent years he continued his work for Gaelic games as a mentor with Newtown and was a Senior selector with Gail Dunne at one stage. His sons Ross and Dean are continuing in his footsteps. Our sympathy to his bereaved family.
