Wicklow 1-15

Sligo 1-10

Seanie Furlong scored 1-3 as Wicklow ended Sligo's winning start in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League.

Aughrim passed an early-morning pitch inspection to host this rescheduled fixture which fell victim to Storm Ciara last weekend. Favoured the elements in the first half, the hosts led by 1-10 to 1-5 at the break with Furlong's third-minute goal giving them the perfect start.

Wing back Sean Carrabine's 15th minute goal brought Sligo level before points from goalkeeper Aidan Devaney and midfielder Patrick O'Connor put them ahead. But with Dean Healy and Chris O’Brien in fine scoring form, Davy Byrne's charges finished the half strongly.

Sligo substitute David Quinn missed a great chance to score an equalising goal in the second half before late points from Mark Kenny and substitute Eoin Darcy sealed the Garden County's second win of the campaign.
