All club jerseys and any other gear are now on sale on the Rathnew shop on the O'Neill's website or just follow the link on our Facebook page. We have also got in club Bobble hats for sale which can be seen on our Facebook page. They are €15 each and can be ordered by giving Hazel a text on 0860592935.

Hard luck to Ciaran Coffey and the rest of the county under 20 football team who lost out to Dublin in the Leinster championship on Saturday in Aughrim.

There was heartbreaking news over the weekend with the passing of Ann McDonald and Nikki Dignam. Ann was born and raised in Rathdrum but thankfully for Rathnew her husband Tom turned left coming out his home in ballybeg. They both settled in seaview heights and had two children Deirdre and Thomas. Ann was like a second mother for half the village and without doubt if it wasn't for the work she did for the clubs juveniles back in the day we would never have had the success we've had over the last 25 years. She looked after so many teams and most of the time it would be only Ann on the bus with 20 kids but every single one of them had so much respect for her they knew never to act out of line. With so many lovely messages on social media sites over the last few days it really shows how much love everyone had for Ann and she will be a massive loss for the Village. We send our condolences to Tom, Deirdre,Thomas and all her family and friends. Nikki was a great supporter and sponsor of the club with her husband Alan. Originally from Limerick she settled in Ashford after marrying Alan and had three children Anna, Cian and Nial who all played for the club. She was such a beautiful, lively person who always had a smile and a chat for everyone and just like with Ann there has been so much love shown towards Nikki with all the lovely messages on social media sites over the last few days. We send our condolences to Alan, Anna, Cian, Nail and all her family and friends. May they both rest in peace.
