Ballymanus club notes

July 22, 2019

The intermediates suffered a 1.10 to 9pt defeat to Kilmacanogue in their second round championship outing in Ashford last weekend. We were up 2pts (5pts to 3pts) at the break but realistically should have been further ahead, hitting 10 wides in the opening half. Kilmac got a point straight from the throw in in the second half, followed shortly by a goal which gave them the lead and momentum that we couldn't retrieve. There were positives in the game, but also lots and lots to work on. Its knock out ball now. Next up is neighbours Annacurra who are in the same boat as ourselves. There was no lotto jackpot winner last weekend from 2. 3. 9.16.

Match 3 winner's were Michael M. Byrne, Aine Byrne, Catriona Byrne, Joan O'Toole, Tommy Healy, Ollie Takis and Colm Finnegan. Finally the club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the extended family and friends of Mary Lambert, Arklow wife of the late Pat who played with the Billies in the past. Ar Dheis Di go raibh a ainm Dilis.
