A MASSIVE thanks to Conor, Brian, Lauren & Jane. They were amazing coaches, so proud to have such brilliant young players part of our club. Róisín & Lorna were very grateful for the help! U13 boys - White squad had a tough task away to Carnew in Div 3 on Mon 24 Jun which was always difficult against another clubs first team. We were well beaten on the night, but lads tried their best and thankfully the next few fixtures are against clubs with two teams in U13 like ourselves. Special mention to Alfie Callaghan and David Caldwell from the U11 group who helped us fulfil the fixture especially when it was so far to travel. Thanks to all parents who took long trip and coaches. Blue squad were at home to An Tochar Mon 24 Jun and with game level 2.08 each at half time we had an injured player (Jack Byrne) who was eventually taken away by ambulance but after two nights in hospital is back out and gone on planned holidays. Thanks to agreement by An Tochar and referee the game was stopped. Thanks to anyone who helped made Jack comfortable on pitch until help arrived on the night. Match is rescheduled for Fri 21 Jun at home and with another great game of football played by both sides An Tochar went away with win of 3.15 to 3.07. Our lads played extremely well and did all we asked of them in a well contested game. Best wishes and speedy recovery to Jack. (Who managed to show his face briefly at our training on Wednesday evening - no stopping him!!). Training Monday and Wednesday 18.30 to 19.45.
