Seniors –Good win away to Kiltegan on Tues 14 May. 2-08 to 1-14. Our seniors played at home on Sun 19 May in the league against Hollywood. A game we were expecting to be a tough battle ended up being more of a stroll in the park for us. But saying that, Hollywood were in it as such for the 1st quarter of hour but we settled in found our scoring boots and went in at half-time leading by 1.11 to 0.04. This week we had the privilege of 6 subs to run in and they all got game time in the 2nd half. We didn't ease up with these guys either and scored another 2.15. Credit to all the squad for great work for the full hour. Nice to win the local derby. Next up is St. Pats away next weekend. Team - P Manning. B. Murphy. S. Bohan. B. Finan. 5 A. Boland (1-00).  J. U14 girls Feile –Our U14 Girls are heading West for Feile Peil na nOg from 28-30 Jun. One of three clubs representing Wicklow our girls are very excited. We will be hosted by Naomh Mhuire Oranmore in Galway. Anyone that knows about Feile will be aware there’s a huge cost involved in sending teams and our girls have done up (with a little help!) a wonderful letter seeking the support and sponsorship of local or any businesses willing to contribute. Instead of targeting one business for a big amount we appeal for just €100 per business to sponsor one of our players. Being affordable, in supporting our young girls you will get full recognition for the sponsorship with our player profiles including your business name/logo and acknowledgement on all our networks (social media etc). We are extremely grateful for all sponsorship received so far. If any other businesses are in a position to contribute, please contact any of the management. Jess 0868602022 and Kim 0852079643. We are very much looking forward to the build up to one of the most memorable weekends in the Gaelic football calendar.

U14 girls – U14 Girls White Team Tues 8 May home v Ashford: A strong win 6-10 to 2-1. Great performances all over the pitch with our defence having a quiet game but when they were needed, they stopped any danger. Some excellent link up play from the middle and forwards running through with joint players of the match Asia and Roisin M each playing a blinder well done girls. Brilliant to see Emily O’R returning to match action and the injured Holly T coming up to support.  Best wishes with recovery after knee surgery.

Blue Team Tues 15 May away v Tinahely: A shaky performance almost cost us a first league defeat.  BUT where necessary we dug deep and without the driving forces up front of Sadhbh, Aisling and Aibhe we wouldn’t have gotten over the line! Some unbelievable blocking in defence with POTM Orlaith Ní Gallchobhair preventing many of their opportunities. While we have plenty to work on with passing etc it was great to have such a competitive game. Score finished 8-7 to 4-13. Well done to Sadhbh Fisher who represented Blessington GAA in the Wicklow LGFA Feile Skills test in Ashford.

U12 girls – U12 girls white away v Kilcoole on Mon 20 May at 7pm. U12 Girls Blue at home v Baltinglass on Tues 21 May at 7pm.

U8’s/U10’s – Blessington LGFA U10's hosted teams from West Wicklow and 3 St Vincents teams on Sat 18 May. The girls demonstrated great team and individual performances and came away with one draw and 3 wins. The future of ladies football in Blessington is bright.

U15’s – A busy and eventful week for the U15's. 21 U15's along with coaches and parents travelled up to Carlingford on Sat 11 May for an excellent weekend away in the adventure centre with indoor and outdoor challenges along with an 8am pier dive on Sunday morning in Carlingford Lough. All the lads had a good weekend and were a real credit to Blessington GAA on the trip. On Tue 14 May Blessington played Ballinglen in U15 League at home. After a very poor performance against Bray this was a chance to get things back on track and the lads didn’t disappoint even with a number of players not available due to injury, travel and sickness Blessington went in at half time ahead on a score of 3-03 to 0-06 with a final score of 4-10 to 1-10. A really good performance of support play, defence and keeping smart possession. Training Sunday 6:45 friendly game V St Kevins at home Wed 22 May.

Wicklow U15's - Well done to Sam Gough, Conor Richardson, James Dooley and Austin Brennan on the Wicklow squads V Offaly on Sat 18 May. Wicklow came away with a draw and a 3-point win.
