Seniors – Div 1 AGB 3-15 Blessington 0-14. The seniors made the long trip to Arklow on Sun 12 May. There were 10 players missing from injury and county and we only had16 players available. 3 off them from the junior squad. We started well getting the 1st score within a minute. it was pretty much nip n tuck for the whole 1st half but AGB got an early goal to give them the lead at HT -1.08 to 0.08. In the 2nd half we ran out of steam and substitutes.  AGB had the privilege of making changes at crucial stages and that was the difference in the end. It was a good enough performance with what we had.Ft 3.15-0.14. Team - S. Kitt. B. Bohan. B. Murphy. B. Finan. C. Mescall. J. Cotter. Danielius Sarkauskas. D. Boothman.  G. Murray. S. Carroll. E. U16 Wicklow girls – Congratulations to Girls U16 Blue team who had put in a super team performance in their league match on 7 May against Baltinglass and came away with a great win.

U14 girls Feile –Our U14 Girls are heading West for Feile Peil na nOg from 28-30 Jun. One of three clubs representing Wicklow our girls are very excited. We will be hosted by Naomh Mhuire Oranmore in Galway. Anyone that knows about Feile will be aware there’s a huge cost involved in sending teams and our girls have done up (with a little help!) a wonderful letter seeking the support and sponsorship of local or any businesses willing to contribute. Instead of targeting one business for a big amount we appeal for just €100 per business to sponsor one of our players. Being affordable, in supporting our young girls you will get full recognition for the sponsorship with our player profiles including your business name/logo and acknowledgement on all our networks (social media etc). We are extremely grateful for all sponsorship received so far. If any other businesses are in a position to contribute, please contact any of the management. Jess 0868602022 and Kim 0852079643. We are very much looking forward to the build up to one of the most memorable weekends in the Gaelic football calendar.

Juveniles

County Minor - A big win for the Minors who got off the mark in Group 3 of the Electric Ireland Minor Football Championship on May 7. 2-03 9-20. Louth are next up where a win could secure Wicklows passage to the Leinster Quarter Final. Well done to our lads on the team – Daniel Cooney, Jack Sargent and Luke O’Brien. Next up is a home game on Wed 15 May v Louth at 7pm in Aughrim.

Minor – At home v Rathnew on Mon 13 May at 7.15pm.

U15’s – At home v Ballinglen Gaels on Tues 14 May 7.15pm.

U13’s – White squad played Bray Emmets at home Tuesday night. We started strong and got some nice scores but then we lost our way a bit till halftime letting Bray in to the game with some unnecessary scores. Halftime came and we had a chat and again we started strong second half but didn't take chances. Bray had their spell and finished chances. We did a lot of silly fouling and didn't defend very well. But we finished strong and missed enough chances to win the game. On a positive note we could have easily won the game. We lost 3.06 to 2.06. Blue squad were away to Eire Og on Fri 10 and with 18.00 throw in parents rowed in and got kids to game on time. We started strong but lacked finishing Instinct and Eire Og took their limited chances better. Despite being few scores behind all the way through the game the lads kept battling to the end but finished up losing 4.11 to 1.12. With chances missed and scores we shouldn't necessarily have to give away at times from poor marking and decision making we could easily have won game or been closer.

U12’s – U12 boys NKL. On Sat 11 May the lads had an away game to Clane. With only 9 available out of 18 2007 lads we still proceeded thanks to the help of 3 2008 lads Alfie Callaghan /Patrick Murray and David Caldwell who all played extremely well. Lads played well all way through the game and despite being behind at halftime we won 9.12 to 4.12. Game was very tough all way through and players stood up and moved ball wide particularly in second half and created a lot of fine scores. Well done all.

U11’s – Blessington blue v Bray Emmets Blue on Tues 14 May also on Tues Blessington white away v An Tochar Navy. Both matches at 7.15pm. U11’s at home v St Kevin’s on Sat 18 May at 7pm.

U10’s – U10’s took the long journey to Cappagh for their 4th game in the NKL. The lads started brilliantly getting on top early and never letting up. We played some great stuff at times, highlighted with the early passing and no touch football capped off with some super scores to finish the great moves. Very hard to pick out any one POTM but special mention to Luke Deniffe for some great scores and getting himself 5pts. The lads won well in the end making 4 wins from 4 in Kildare. They now look forward to playing with the 11’s in the Wicklow league on Tue night. A big thanks to the parents who travelled down to support the lads.

U7’s – At home v Sarfields on Sat 18 May at 2.30pm.

U9’s – At home v Sarsfields on Sat 18 May at 3.30pm.

U8’s – We played at home to Sarsfields in NKL U8's on Sat 11 May. Both teams came out on top playing some great football but once again it's the way these kids that work hard for one another that stood out today. Thanks to David and Eoin who refereed the matches today and the parents that gave their support.

County Minor – The Two GAA Celtic Challenge Gold and Blue had good wins again this week. Wicklow Gold have followed up their superb victory over Longford last week with a 5-12 to 1-10 win over Monaghan. Blue team were up against Carlow and won 6-17 to 0-10. Well done to our Blessington GAA players Oisin Brogan and Jake O'Kelly who were in Wicklow Blue team. Four from four for the Wicklow Celtic Challenge teams! Next up the Gold team meet Louth away on Wed 15 May at 8pm. The Blue team are at home in Bray Emmets v Meath at 7.30pm.

U11’s – Our U11 Western Gaels were at home to a strong physical Aughrim side. With the weather not in our favour it was a slow start for us hurling against a strong wind. Some great scores kept us slightly ahead at half time. Alex Toolis and Paddy Balfe working hard for every ball and Conor Ellis pulling of some fantastic saves kept us ahead. Work rate and quick hands gives POTM to Callum Jordan Dempsey (toms call) and many thanks to a huge sideline support on a miserable night. Many thanks to the U9s Fionn and Kayden for stepping up. Great to have a few subs to run in. Training tomorrow as usual.
