Newtown Club Notes

Newtown ladies team returned to the league with winning ways last Sunday, the ladies beat a young Rathnew team. Well done to management and players, all their hard work is paying off. As always newcomers always welcome, training Mondays & Wednesdays at 7.30pm 

 

Newtown senior men drew against St Pats in a challenge game at home last Friday. Their next league match against Avondale is scheduled for this coming Friday 15th at home, throw in 7.30pm, please lend your support.

 

The Sean McShane memorial golf classic is scheduled for Sunday 3rd June, proceeds will be split between Newtown GAA and Newtown centre for autism. Year on year this is a hugely popular and great day out so get your name in early, €400 for team of 4 or tee sponsorship at €100. Contact Dominic Leech, Ally Taylor or John McShane. 

 

Our thanks to Eugenes DayToday for supplying the Senior men’s team with fresh fruit after training last week, please remember to shop local when possible and return our support to Eugene and Gavin who have always been great supporters of local clubs. 

 

Operation Transformation might be over but walks tom the pitch continues, meeting at the clubhouse at 7pm for a walk to Garden village and back. All are welcome 

 

Weekly lotto takes place every Monday evening, tickets can be purchased from any committee member or from local shops at cost of €2 each, all proceeds go to support the club. There was no winner last week which means this week’s jackpot is €4800, numbers drawn were 3 5 6 19.
