Wicklow hurlers – Well done to the county hurlers who beat Derry away on Sun 10 Mar 1-09 to 0-08. Wicklow are now promoted to Div 2A. Well done to management and players.

Wicklow U14 girls - The girls came back from being 6 points down at half-time in the Leinster Championship to record a 9-point win over Louth up in a windswept Carlingford. Well done to Emily Rose O’Toole, Aisling Brennan & Elaine O’Dwyer.

Seniors –Next up is a home game v St Pats on 17 Mar at 11am.

Div 3 – Next match Sat 16 Mar away v Tinahely at 4pm.

Ladies

Senior Ladies – Our ladies had a great win over Bray Emmets in Rd 1 of the league on Sat 9 Mar. Final score 5-10 to 5-09. Scorers – Molly Cullen 3-04, Jess Brennan 0-5, Sophie Cronin 1-01, Roisin Ellis 1-0.

U12 girls - Super stuff on Sat 9 Mar in Roundwood by our U12 girls. Some great play and every single one of the girls stepped up to the mark. The team work amongst you all was super to watch. Well done to all. Well impressed and super proud as always. Player of the match goes to our super keeper on the night Emma Carpenter. Well done Emma. See you all Tuesday 6.30pm for training.

Juveniles

U15’s – Training Sun and Wed. Last session in Fit fit dojo on Wed 13 Mar at 7pm and last session on the Astro on Sun 17 Mar at 5:30pm. Pitch sessions start from Wed 20 Mar. Wicklow League first game on 3 Apr. Any boys born in 2004 and 2005 are always welcome.

U13’s - A challenge match was arranged with Celbridge U13 and we played 15 a side rather than the usual 13 a side and on a full pitch against a strong Celbridge squad on Sat 9 Mar. It took a while for Blessington to get to grips with the bigger pitch and we were behind at half time with the wind. However, a much-improved performance in the second half where used the space and kicked more saw us end 4 points down. Well done to the players for raising their game so well in second half. It was a worthwhile challenge arranged by Jimmy and good practice for next weekend's cross county league final semi-final playoff's.

Leinster Cross County league - The final cross county league standings and positions are determined on 10 Mar - Semi-final/finals set for next Sat 16 Mar - opposition, venue & time yet to be confirmed but it will be held at a Leinster Centre of Excellence and likely Ratoath will be the opposition.  Well done lads for qualifying. Details available in Leinstergaa.ie / cross county league - U13 blue division.
