Div 1 - Well done to our Senior team on their win on Sat 14 Jul in Joule Park, Aughrim v Annacurra. Final score Blessington 1-21 Annacurra 1-11. Team: Peter Manning, Barry Murphy, Stephen Bohan, Aaron Curran, Carolan Mcgorman, Paul Mc Loughlin, Kevin Hanlon, Gavin Murray, Kevin John Rodgers, Jack Cotter, Patrick O Connor, Eoin Keogh, Curtis Geraghty, Bryan Carroll, Mikey O Connor. Subs used Declan Fennessy, Jack Gilligan, Michael Nugent, Conor Ryan, Wayne Callaghan. Scorers Mikey O Connor 0-6, Patrick O Connor 0-5, Kevin Hanlon 1-1, Eoin Keogh, Curtis Geraghty and Jack Cotter 0-2 each. Barry Murphy, Michael Nugent, Kevin John Rodgers 0-1 each. Div 4 West - Blessington GAA won comfortably v Valleymount on Mon 9 Jul in Hollywood and the Div 4 Cup West was presented to Captain James Kearns. We successfully defended our Div 4 West title won last year for first time in twenty years.Team: Shane Breen, Cormac Brogan, Bradley Foster, Gareth Grogan, Daragh Mc Gorman, Conal O'Gallchobhair, Glen Farrell, Danielius Saukauskas, James Kearns, Fergal Hennessy, Alan Ellis, Sean Mescall, James Jackson, Jordan McGarr, Adam Murphy, reserves Stephen Carroll, Brian Bohan, Ciaran Mescall, Geoffrey Elliot, Johnny Kelly, Ciaran McGovern, Patrick Nolan, Sean Mc Garr.

Wicklow Minors - Hard luck to the Wicklow Minor team who were in the Leinster Minor Championship semi-final replay in Joule Park, Aughrim on Fri 13 Jul v Kildare. Wicklow 1-13 Kildare 2-12. Really hard luck to Wicklow. What a game. Terrific stuff from all especially our own lads Craig Maguire and Kevin Quinn.

Ladies

Wicklow Ladies - Hard Luck to the Wicklow Ladies (especially our own club player Kim Connors) who met a very strong Tyrone team today and went down 5-18 to 2-06 but they still can progress to the All Ireland Quarter Finals with a win against Offaly which will be a huge game.

Blessington GAA Ladies 25 Anniversary Celebrations - Lock the date in for our LADIES 25 YEAR CELEBRATIONS.   All teams (U8 right up to G4M) will be involved on the day - schedule of events will be sent out nearer the time. We look forward to a wonderful Club Day. Blessington Pitch 2pm - 6pm. Avon Ri 8pm till late. 25 years, 450 players, 7300 training sessions,37800 dirty jerseys, 1 Club.

Senior Ladies - Ladies are up against Naas at home on Wed 18 Jul at 8pm.  

U16 girls - U16 girls white at home v Kilcoole on Thurs 19 Jul at 7.30pm.

U10 girls - Super stuff today by our U10 girls at the blitz in Baltinglass. Well done to all of you in the heat, you gave it your all as always and that's all we ever ask for. Some great passing and playing as a team, you make Blesso proud every time you step on the pitch.

U8 girls - Well done to the amazing U8 girls who played great football at the Baltinglass Blitz on Sat 14 Jul.. They worked so well together, brilliant teamwork. And thanks to their parents who were great support.

Juvenile boys

County U16's - Another fine result for a Wicklow team Jul 12 in the Gerry O'Reilly Cup against Carlow. Wicklow U16 footballers travelled to Fenagh Carlow GAA Centre of Excellence to play Carlow in the first round of the Leinster U16 Championship. Wicklow were missing almost an entire 15 players through holidays, injury and the eight players involved in the Leinster semi-final replay replay against Kildare in Aughrim. Final score: Wicklow 1-8 Carlow 0-11. Well done to Blessington GAA player Jake O'Kelly.  

U15's - After a long break the U15's had a very competitive game v Div 1 table toppers v St Nick's on Wed 11 Jul. The lads fought all the way to the end but came up short at the end but came up short by 4 scores. Lads had plenty of chances but just didn't convert enough of them. Training on Mon and Wed 7pm. Possible friendly on Thurs 19 July v Ballymore. TBC. Well done to U14 Wicklow lads Austin Brennan, James Dooley and Sam Gough who played against Laois in Blessington on Sat 14 Jul.  

County U15's - The U15 Wicklow GAA Academy Squad had a productive training session on Sat 14 Jul in Ballinakill COE under Gary Jameson in preparation for the Adam Mangan tournament in two weeks time. Good luck to the Blessington lads on the squad - Liam Pbibbs, Niall O'Gallchobhair, Jack Sargent, Luke O'Brien and Daniel Cooney.

U11's - On Wed 11 Jul we fielded two teams in fixtures as a lot on hols to field a third. Blue squad were home to Rathnew Red and from the start to end never looked like losing. With some fantastic tackling and great passing it was great night for Blesso U11 blue squad players/coaches and parents. Great team work tonight. White squad were at home to Donard and again thanks to U9 players Dylan and Oisin for assisting us in fielding team. The squad played really well and came away winners. Again, thanks to players/coaches and parents. It was great to see Ryan Keogh from the Blue squad currently out injured up at games. Thanks also to refs. The U11 Red away v Fergal Og match scheduled for Wed 11 Jul will now be played on Fri 20 Jul away at 7.15pm.

Football Go Games - On Sat 21 Jul at 11am in Annacurra.

Hurling

U11's - Western Gaels v Bray 2 at the pitch on Wed 18 Jul at 7pm.

U9's - Well done to Blessington GAA U9 hurlers who won 2 out of 3 matches in a blitz in Ballinakill on Sat 14 Jul. Thanks to all the parents who travelled.

At the pitch - On Sun 22 Jul there is a Junior A double header Valleymount v Barndarrig at 6pm followed by Bltinglass v Lacken/Kilbride at 8pm.

Kelloggs Cul Camps - Well done to everyone who took part in the Cul Camp 9 -13 Jul. 200 kids are the best week of fun, games and football. Thanks to the coaches especially our own club members. Anyone that hasn't been successful in securing a place can still log on and register their kids for the Cul Camp in Blessington week beginning 23 Jul. They can choose to do hurling, football or a mixture. www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie.

Clothing Collection ongoing - collecting good quality second hand clothing suitable for re-use. Please fill as many black bin bags as you can - the more we collect, the more our club receives.
