There are three candidates going forward for the position of Wexford GAA chairman.

The race to replace current chairman Diarmuid Devereux is on as Askamore-Kilrush's Arthur Quinn has been joined by Derek Kent (Taghmon-Camross) and Noel O'Keeffe (St Anne's, Rathangan) in the battle to take over.

Devereux must step down due to the five-year rule, but he leaves having persuaded Davy Fitzgerald and Seamus McEnaney to become senior hurling and football managers respectively.

There is also a race to become vice-chairman as current incumbent Noel O'Keeffe is to be rivalled by Arthur Quinn and Michael Martin (Volunteers).
