Two SHC quarterfinals down for decision

September 07, 2016

The first two senior hurling championship quarterfinals take place this weekend.

Innovate Wexford Park is the place to be this Sunday as two intriguing ties are down for decision.

St Martin's play Fern St Aidan's and Glynn-Barntown take on Buffers Alley in what should be two close games.

In the first game, a youthful St Martin's side will be fancied to see off Ferns who after a slow start to the campaign are beginning to find their form.

St Martin's are still eyeing double glory as their footballers move quietly through the senior football championship, while many feel they are the one team to trouble defending champions Oulart-The Ballagh in the SHC.

The second semi-final sees Glynn-Barntown slight favourites against Buffers Alley, but the former will have to be at their best to go through.

The final two quarterfinals take place the following week when Oulart The Ballagh play Naomh Eanna and Rapparees face Cloughbawn.
