Dublin's Eoghan O'Donnell

Dublin manager Ger Cunningham has awarded a championship debut to Eoghan O'Donnell ahead of tomorrow's Leinster SHC opener against Wexford at Croke Park.

Having started in all of their seven league outings, the Whitehall Colmcille youngster takes his place in the full-back line alongside Cuala duo Cian O'Callaghan and Oisin Gough.

Experienced hands Shane Durkin and Paul Ryan are kept in reserve along with Ryan O'Dwyer, who only recently returned to the panel after a long lay-off.

The Dubs have been hit by a host of injuries to key players such as Peter Kelly, Cian Boland, Ben Quinn and the McBride brothers, Cian and Rian, while Colm Cronin is exam-tied.
