Unsurprisingly, All-Ireland champions Dublin dominate the GAA/GPA All Stars shortlist will 11 nominations.

Nine counties are represented on the 45-man shortlist which was announced this morning. All-Ireland runners-up Kerry follow Dublin with eight nominations, All-Ireland semi-finalists Mayo and Tyrone have seven each, Donegal five, Monaghan four, while Fermanagh, Westmeath and Laois have one each.

Among the talking points are the omissions of Dublin goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton and team-mate Paul Flynn, who has won All Stars in each of the past four years. Cluxton had been nominated every year since 2010. Denis Bastick and Dean Rock are the other members of the Dublin team that started the All-Ireland final to miss out.

Allianz League and Munster finalists Cork have no representation, while All-Ireland quarter-finalists Kildare have also been snubbed.

The awards will be presented at the Convention Centre in Dublin on Friday, November 6.
