Purple and gold suits Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran played two gigs in Pearse Stadium.

Ed Sheeran is gracing Croke Park for a second-sell out show tonight and he has nailed his GAA colours firmly to the Wexford mast.

Last night he took to the stage wearing an Irish International Rules jersey while in the picture below he is proudly showing off his Model County roots.

At yesterday's press conference, the world famous singer/songwriter revealed how he had spent a few days down visiting his granny at her Wexford home.

"My gran's 91 and I just want to spend as much time with her as possible, and I've got loads of family coming over for the weekend too," he said.

Sheeran has family living in the Model County, Galway and Cork and, by the time the final whistle is blown to signal the end of tonight's show, he will have entertained 160,000 revellers over the course of the two nights at GAA headquarters.
