Wexford manager Liam Dunne may live to regret dropping Jack Guiney from his squad after he went on a scoring spree in a club game last night.

The Model County's build-up to Sunday's Leinster SHC semi-final against Kilkenny has been overshadowed by the management's decision to drop the 22-year-old sharpshooter. As if to prove a point, Guiney blasted 4-5 (4-4 from play) for his club Rathnure in their 4-12 to 1-12 victory over St. Aidan's of Ferns in a Division 1 league encounter last night.

Guiney's place in the Wexford team for Sunday's game has been taken by Shane Tomkins.
