Wexford hurler Andrew Shore will not find out until Saturday whether his appeal against a 48-week ban was successful or not.

Shore was alleged to have played illegally for Birmingham side Roger Casements last October, even though the Wexford hurler is adamant that his paperwork was in order.

Now plying his trade with the Parnells' club in Dublin, Shore faces more torment as the result of his appeal will not be given out till seven days after the hearing.

Shore attended the hearing in the U.K last Saturday, but is now keeping his fingers crossed that the Hearings Committee agree with him and scrap the ban.
