New Wexford football manager David Power is determined to do well.
Power is set to ratified as the new Wexford senior football manager at this month's county board meeting after being recommended by the committee formed to find a successor to Aidan O'Brien who stood down after two years in the job.
The former Tipperary All-Ireland winning minor football manager is set to become the youngest manager in the country at just 31 years of age.
And he stressed to the Wexford People that he is eager to propel Wexford football up the footballing ladder.
"Hopefully, I can do Wexford proud. Look, Tipperary football is in a good state and there's a lot of good people there," said Power.
"There's more than David Power has helped promote football in Tipperary. I hope one day I will be back helping football in Tipperary again.
"This is an exciting adventure and I know people will say I haven't managed at inter-county senior but I have a decent record at underage level behind me. I have every confidence in myself that I can be successful down in Wexford."
