Wexford chairman Diarmuid Devereux has apologised to the clubs involved in last weekend's IFC quarterfinal.
HWH-Bunclody and Kilmore met last weekend, but when the appointed referee failed to turn up, a linesman appointed stood in, but he hadn't his own umpires, which led to people from the respective clubs doing it.
The game ended in a draw and both sides have another chance, but Devereux was fuming when he released his statement.
"I wish to go public, and publicly apologise to both clubs, the players and the paying supporters for what happened. This should not have happened and is totally unacceptable," the Wexford People reports Devereux as saying.
"Whatever the reasons surrounding this will be fully investigated. A decision will have to be arrived at as the clubs, players and supporters deserve better."
