Wexford U21 manager JJ Doyle expects Conor McDonald, Liam Ryan and Jack Guiney to be 'flying' in Saturday's All-Ireland hurling qualifier replay against Clare.

Doyle was speaking after the trio each played their part in the Model County's successful retention of the Leinster U21HC title last night, with brilliant young full forward McDonald firing 1-3 past Dublin in a 1-20 to 0-18 victory.

"The boys are as fit as fiddles," the U21 boss is quoted as saying in the Irish Daily Star.

"People are maybe worrying about them again on Saturday evening. But they're so buoyed up they'd probably play again tonight.

"The boys will be flying and I guarantee when they get the crowd behind them at Wexford Park, they will be up for it again."

Wexford's reward for beating Dublin is an All-Ireland U21 semi-final showdown with Galway on Saturday, August 23.
