Fresh from winning his first county medal last Sunday, Kilkenny legend Tommy Walsh hit a brace of goals as Tullaroan powered to a 3-18 to 1-12 victory over Laois' Rosenallis in the Leinster club IHC at O'Moore Park.

The nine-time All-Ireland winner netted from Tullaroan's first attack before Martin Keoghan added a second goal before half-time. And it was all over bar the shouting when Walsh raised his second green flag in the 39th minute.

It was a good day for the Kildare and Wicklow senior champions in their quarter-finals. Naas saw off Wexford's Cloughbawn by 0-14 to 0-9 in Bellefield, Enniscorthy, while Bray Emmets were 2-17 to 1-7 winners over Scoil Ui Chonaill of Dublin in Aughrim.

In the other quarter-final, Offaly senior 'B' winners Seir Kieran ran out 1-18 to 0-11 victors over newly-crowned Meath senior champions Kildalkey at Trim after leading by 0-11 to 0-5 at the break.
