Brian Malone will join an exclusive club of Wexford footballers when he makes his 150th competitive appearance against Laois tomorrow.

The Shelmaliers stalwart, who made his debut 12 years ago, is just 10 appearances short of Colm Morris' record of 160. David Murphy is the Model County's second most 'capped' footballer with 157 appearances. Of those currently playing for Wexford, Ben Brosnan has made 114 appearances, while Daithi Waters is on 89.

The highpoint of Malone's career to date was an All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Tyrone in 2008, while he also played in Leinster SFC finals in 2008 and 2011 as well as an Allianz League Division 1 final against Armagh in 2005.

While Brian is in now in the twilight of his inter-county career, his younger brother Glen is only starting out, and will make his championship debut at wing back in Innovate Wexford Park tomorrow evening.
