That was some game between Castletown and the Gaels tonight in the park Castletown were full value for the win and if it were not for Collins in the first half with 3 saves it would have been out of sight at halftime but it was very close with 5 minutes left, Maher denied the Jogger and McNichlos and if either went in the Gaels were out the gate with the win Castletown backs overplaying the ball out of defence cost them goals but scoring 2-20 and the intensity they played with gives them every chance , the Gaels did another jeckyl and Hyde performance one never knows what Gaels team will turn up but they have the knack of scoring late goals now and that could cause an upset in future game's. Really looking forward now to the games tomorrow now after witnessing that tonight.

Two more excellent games tonight.Brownstown and Delvin was a cracker and even though it took a while to warm up Clonkill and Raharney was high class hurling. Throw in a big crowd and hurling is on the up

Two more good tight games Sunday. Delvin and Brownstown was great entertainment.Raharney just got the better of Clonkill Joey Boyle scoring 2-5.Another big crowd. Clonkill The Gaels and Pollard now with one point after two games. There is definitely more interest in this years championship.

You should broaden your horizons and your life will be enhanced If you are too prejudiced or feel threatened by hurlings rise it would be better for you to stick to football threads.

I admire your optimism Jobber.
The Delvin Browstown game was exciting enough but the standard was very poor. Clonkill & Raharney were only shadow boxing as both will make semi finals at minimum. Joey Boyle was the only real stand out player & the game never really sparked into life. The Gaels yet again fell short when the pressure was put on them on Saturday evening. If Castletown keep improving they could very well take a championship this year.
Castlepollard will finish bottom of group 1.

Positive start to Senior championship LLG look like they put all there eggs in one basket last weekend to beat Clonkill but came up short on the day they beat Castletown in league final & went into champ match v Castletown under estimating them and realistically Castletown were by far the better team on the day missing some key players, LLG under pressure now,
Raharney & Clonkill didn't live up to the usual standards between the 2 sides, particularly Clonkill were as poor as I've seen them in years with both these teams having a lot of improving to do Raharney should of been out of sight at half time Joey Boyle only player on show that lived up to the billing but both teams failed to empty there bench with Raharney bringing back on a player that had been taken off earlier not a good sign when you have 30 lads togged out,Clonkill under pressure now,
Castlepollard will have a say in this championship yet 2 big games over 3 days in a few weeks time and that will give us all a clearer picture of who are the real contenders for the Championship 2017 at moment it's looking like Raharney & Castletown setting the early pace.

to be fair nobody expects those two to be Raharney standard but there were some terrifc scores Brownstown first goal and Alan Cox class sideline.Perhapd you are right about shadow boxing but if Clonkill lose to Castletown they are in big bother, so I dont buy that.
