Rosemount GAA notes

September 18, 2017

Gaa - Hard luck to our U14 team who were defeated by a strong Coralstown/Kinnegad side last Saturday in the championship semi final. The lads put in a tremendous effort for the whole game, but in the end Kinnegad's strength in depth saw them over the line.

U21 Championship - our quarter final tie vs Moate All Whites was fixed for last Saturday afternoon. Moate All Whites surprisingly did not field. There Intermediate relegation match vs CFCW next weekend was the excuse given for the game not going ahead. We now qualify for the semi finals where we take on Athlone. Date, time and venue TBC.

The winner from the draw for the two All Ireland Football Final Tickets was Sean Mangan from Castletown Geoghegan. Congratulations Sean, hope you enjoyed the game last Sunday and thanks to everyone for their fantastic support.

Sincere thanks to everyone who supported our coffee morning fundraiser for South Westmeath Hospice in the hall last Saturday morning. The Total raised was nearly €1700 which is an excellent achievement. Well done to all who baked, helped out and who came to support.
