"We'll look back and see if things worked from it or did we lose something from it."

Aidan O'Shea's deployment at full-back will be up for review when Stephen Rochford and his Mayo selectors sit down this week to plot their gameplan for the replay.

"You need to be decisive alright. Tomorrow (Monday) could be an interesting day."

Kerry boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice has some big decisions to make in advance of next Saturday's replay.

"It didn't work and Donaghy was the crucial influence from Kerry's perspective and they wouldn't have survived in the game without him. He set up 2-4 and scored a point himself and was very dominant in there."

Joe Brolly was left scratching his head by the Mayo management's gamble to hand O'Shea man-marking duties on Kieran Donaghy.

"We didn't see Higgins or Keegan making the same impact going forward. They were well tracked by the Kerry players. Higgins never got into the same positions he did against Roscommon. Boyle should be left on, he's the sort of player that inspires Mayo."

Brolly's Sunday Game colleague Colm O'Rourke was baffled by Mayo's substitution of goalscorer Colm Boyle.

"It would be massive. For this group of players, it's trying for two-in-a-row for some of us and maybe a first for some fellas. That's the only way we're thinking, but a four-in-a-row would obviously be massive for the people of Kerry."

After his 1-10 haul against Cavan, the supremely gifted David Clifford switched his focus to a Tom Markham Cup decider against the winners of Dublin versus Derry.

"He's shown it for the last three years. He's left-footed, he's right-footed. He's putting up huge scores and he's playing senior championship now down in Kerry. Everyone seems to be afraid of this guy and with good reason too."

Colm Cooper is a big fan of the Kingdom minor sensation.

"I think there's a lot of talk about how ever many games they've won or how ever many titles we're going for, that's all irrelevant, because you have young fellas out there this year who are minors and they have no minor medal."

Kerry U-18 boss Peter Keane won't allow his players be distracted by talk of four-in-a-row.

"We'd have taken a point in a poor game but to win a good game of hurling, the way we won it makes it all the more pleasing."

Pat Donnelly and his Limerick U-21s booked their All-Ireland final ticket with a gutsy win over Galway in Semple Stadium on Saturday.

"That doesn't benefit anyone. If you were going to look at possibly introducing an open draw to pilot it and see how it works, maybe U21 level is the one to go."

It was all too easy for Kilkenny in their penultimate stage clash with Derry and manager Eddie Brennan called for change to the competition's structure.

"Jim Gavin will decide how and when we see him, and in what context. So I really can't say much about the detail, but I know for sure that he's certainly a strength that Dublin didn't have in their games since he got that [suspension]."

Mickey Harte is well aware of the threat posed by Diarmuid Connolly to Tyrone's All-Ireland ambitions.
