St Joseph's club notes

February 27, 2017

Underage:

Well done to the panel of the Kilbeggan/St. Josephs under 13 footballers, a brilliant performance and very unlucky not to come away with a win. We lost by the narrowest of margins just 1 point on a score line of 6-6 to 6-7 to the group leaders, St. Oliver's of Moylagh, Co. Meath. A great performance by both sides on a miserable wet and cold February morning. It was a very hard fought contest on the wettest of conditions with a strong wind blowing across the pitch for most of the game, but our lads traded the lead from time to time with some brilliant teamwork and some very good scores.

Senior Scór:

St Josephs will be represented in four disciplines in the County Scór final following last Friday's semi-final in Ballymore. The club was successful in Figure and Set Dancing as well as Recitation and Leiriu. The County final is in The Downs on Sunday 5th March at 6.00pm. The club will also be represented in the Quiz final which is not for a few weeks yet.

Senior Men:

Our next league game fixture is due to take place on Saturday 5th March in Streamstown at 3.30pm against our neighbours Kilbeggan. Your support for our senior players on the day would be greatly appreciated.
