AGM

A well attended AGM on was held on Sunday 8th January in the clubhouse. Chairman Gerry Butler presided over a lively, well mannered meeting. Numerous issues were discussed during the course of the meeting and it is good to see the heart of the club beating strongly. Gerry Butler was re-elected chairman for the coming year, with Chris McCarthy taking on the role of treasurer, the main changes in the election of officers sees Kieran Yourell replacing Paul Murray as secretary and Paul taking over from Richie Crowley as PRO. A full list of officers will be available for all to view on the website in the coming days.  

Lotto 

Our lotto continues every fortnight with the current jackpot  standing at €2700. We held a bonus draw over the Christmas and the results were as follows. Numbers drawn 6,14,15,20; no jackpot winner, prize winners on the night were Shane McGovern (x2), John Donoghue, Michael Daly, Con Ryan, Shane Colleary, Paul Owens and Bernice Orme. 

Westmeath GAA

Congratulations to the Westmeath hurlers on the win over DCU at the weekend in the Walsh cup, Crookedwood GAA were represented by Shane McGovern on the panel. Well done to the senior footballers on their wins over Carlow and NUI Maynooth in the O'Byrne cup. Hard luck to the u-21 footballers who were defeated by Cavan, Crookedwood hurlers Ronan Wallace and Ian McGovern are representing their county style at this level.

Condolences

Crookedwood GAA extends its deepest sympathies to the following families on their recent bereavements; the Hyland family, Crookedwood and Mullingar on the passing of Mary Hyland, the Mitchell family, Monilea on the passing of Stewart and Emily Mitchell, and to the Mary Murray and family on the passing of Annie Kenny, Ballinea.
