Castledaly started well with scores from Justin Coughlan with Eoin Fleming fouled. Then Brendan Kelly and Gordon Duffy added scores from play. The visitors had strong possession and exploited some poor defending and fielding adding 3 goals and 3 points from play and frees without reply. Castledaly enjoyed their fair share of play but struggled with final passes and scoring opportunities that sailed wide or short again and again.
A Brendan Kelly point from play added Castledaly 4th score while the visitors replied with 3 points on the trot before half time. The second half saw the visitors on the attack and Eanna Duffy Adrian
Kelly and Shane Fitzpatrick were on hand to keep the scoring to minimum. Shane Fitzpatrick picked up an injury and Damien Stone was introduced to freshen up defence.  MJ McLoughlin was introduced for injured Eoin
Fleming and the invigorated front line won possession and free kicks, converted by Brendan Kelly  to reduce the deficit by 5 points. Castledaly will have many points to build on with this performance but  some to correct also in passing and accuracy in front of goal and concentration in defence.l.  Final Score 0-09 to 3-10
