Westmeath GAA is coming under pressure to postpone a full round of club football championship games scheduled for next weekend.

Following yesterday's Leinster SFC final defeat to Dublin, the Lake County will return to Croke Park on Saturday week for an All-Ireland SFC Round 4B qualifier against Mayo and a postponement of the club SFC and IFC games is being sought to allow members of Tom Cribbin's squad to prepare for that do-or-die clash.

With Ray Connellan (broken leg) and David Lynch (knee) both set to miss the Mayo game through injury, Westmeath can ill-afford to pick up any further knocks between now and then.
