This week's Castlepollard GAA club notes.

Training                                

U8 &U10's train  @  6 - 7pm on Tuesday evenings. 

U12&U14s train @ 7 - 8pm on Tuesday evenings.

U8 Blitz in Castlepollard on Saturday morning 30th April @ 11am. Teams are asked to be at the pitch by 10:40 AM.

Membership

Membership for 2016 is now due : €30 for adults, €50 family, €20 for OAPs, and €10 for minors and younger. Players whose membership is not up to date are not insured to train or play with the club. Payments can be made to any of the club officers.

Senior League:

Our senior team played neighbours and local rivals Lough Lene Gaels in Round 2 of the hurling league on Sat evening last. A good competitive game was had with Lough Lene Gaels running out eventual winners by 2 points on a score line of: Lough Lene Gaels 1-16 1-14 Castlepollard. Scorers on the night for Castlepollard were Darren McCormack 1-03, Michael Murray 0-3 ( 3 frees), Shane Gilchrist 0-2 (2 frees), Donal Devine 0-2, Martin Egan 0-2. Jamie Ward 0-1, Ciaran Fagan 0-1.

Minor League:

Our minor team played our neighbours Ringtown in the minor league on Sunday last, April 24th. This was a keenly contested match between two local rivals and Castlepollard emerged victorious on a scoreline of Castlepollard 2-20 3-07 Ringtown. The club extends it thanks to all minor players on mentors.

Underage Hurling Helmets: We urgently require unwanted and nolonger used underage Hurling Helmets for an upcoming School Project. The club hopes to work with schools in the Parish to nourish the game of Hurling and encourage those who would just like to try the game. To achieve this we need to supplement the Hurling Helmets already in the possession of our schools. These Helmets will be for the sole use of the pupils during school hours and your generosity would be greatly appreciated.  If you can assist could you please contact Seamus or any club committee member.

Bingo

Our weekly Bingo continues every Sunday night at 8.30pm in the Hurling Complex.  There was no winner of the Main Jackpot of  €15,200 last Sunday night.  Our 2nd Jackpot of €7,500 was not won and now stands at €7,900. 

              Bonus Ball Game #1 :- lucky winner of  €100 prize was Laura Fitzpatrick.

              Bonus Ball Game #2 :- lucky winner of  €100 prize was Josie Nea.

          

Lotto Draw

Our Lotto Draw took place during Bingo on Sunday night last .  The numbers drawn were :-  4,12,23,25. 

There was no jackpot winner. The 6 x €25 winners were:
