TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar will host a Leinster hurling championship double-header between Westmeath and Offaly next Sunday.
It follows the decision to fix the Leinster MHC quarter-final as a curtain-raiser to the Leinster SHC round-robin opener between the local rivals. The minor game will throw in at 1pm, followed by the senior tie at 3pm.
Former Offaly star Danny Owens' involvement with Westmeath as manager is sure to add spice to the minor fixture.
The other first round game in the Leinster SHC round-robin series between Kerry and Carlow will throw in at 1pm in Tralee on Sunday.
