Ballinagore GAA club notes

Adult Team News

We face high flying Milltown in our second game in the ACFL Division 3 on Tuesday evening in Ballinagore. Milltown, managed again this year by Louis Ennis, are currently top of the table with three wins from three and they also won their opening championship game so they will be very difficult opponents indeed in a game which will undoubtedly have a championship feel to it. Your support will be very appreciated.

Underage News

Our U12's had a great win over Milltownpass last Wednesday evening in Ballinagore. Unfortunately, our U14's were not so lucky in the Féile competition in Springfield on Saturday. Minus the services of Darragh Seery, Conor Murphy and Mark Kiernan because of the unfortunate clash of their trip to Italy with MRFC U14 rugby team, we had to call upon the services of a number of the U12 panel. We were beaten on the day but put in great performances against St. Mary's and Mullingar Shamrocks.

Underage Fixtures :

U16 v Milmore Gaels in Milltown on Monday 2nd May at 7pm.

U12 v Tyrrellspass in Tyrrellspass on Wednesday 4th May at 7pm.

U14 v Moate in Ballinagore on Thursday 5th May at 7pm .

Ballinagore Sport and Social Centre

This Sunday will see our new centre open it's doors for the first time as we host the Tractor and Vintage Car Run being held by Ballinagore Macra in aid of Westmeath Hospice. Refreshments will be served on their return to the pitch and we would like to invite everyone to come and see our new facilities and support this very worthy cause and work carried out by Westmeath Hospice. Help will be required during the week as we prepare to have the place in tip top shape for all our visitors. Please come down when the texts come out during the week.
