St Pauls Clonmellon notes

April 25, 2016

St. Pauls v Tubberclair ACFL D4 Round 3

Our Junior team managed to put the disappointment of the previous weeks championship defeat firmly behind them when they defeated Tubberclair in the league on Friday evening last winning by 6 points. When the sides last met in the league in 2015 St. Pauls were fortunate to come away with a 2 point win so Tubberclair on their home turf would have been fancied going into this fixture. However credit must got to the St. Pauls players and management who took the 2 valuable league points. Next up for the lads is another away match, this time against CTFCW on Tuesday evening, April 26th at 7pm where the lads will be looking to move further up the table by taking the points.

Well done.

The club would like to say well done to the St. Pauls/Delvin ladies team who defeated Shandonagh in their 2nd league game played in Clonmellon on Sunday evening last. The girls are really coming on in strides so far in 2016 and much praise must go to their coaches Ann Ivory and Eugene Dolan. We done again girls from all at St. Pauls GFC.
