Moate All Whites have launched an appeal against the county board's decision to award the under-21 football title to Castledaly/Rosemount.
The sides were due to meet in the county final at Lakepoint Park last Saturday week, but Moate failed to field and the game was subsequently awarded to the amalgamation side.
The game was originally fixed for Athlone on November 14th along with the 13-a-side decider between Ballynacargy and Milltownpass, but both were then moved to Lakepoint Park.
The clash between Moate and their neighbours was then switched to Moate, before both games were then back on in St Loman's and Moate then stated they could not field due to their players making arrangements to get off work in order to coincide with the original fixture.
The Hearings Committee is now set to meet and discuss the matter and neither the county board or the Moate club are willing to comment on the matter before the appeal is heard.
