Clonkill captain Paddy Dowdall celebrate their Westmeath SHC final win

St. Loman's are planning for Sunday's Leinster club SFC semi-final against Ballyboden St. Enda's without their centre back Paddy Dowdall, who has left Ireland for a tour of duty with the UN in Lebanon.

The dual star flew out on Monday, just 24 hours after captaining Clonkill in their Leinster club SHC semi-final defeat to Oulart-The Ballagh. Last month, Dowdall and Kelvin Reilly joined a select group of players to win Westmeath senior hurling and football championship medals in the same year.

The army man, who also manages the Clonkill camogie team, will spend the next six months on a tour of duty with the United Nations' Interim Force in 'The Leb'.
