Westmeath Minor championship: MAW 2-8 Shandonagh 2-13.  Our minors exited the Div 1 Championship against a well drilled Shandonagh outfit.  Despite going behind to a very early goal the lads rallied well and rattled off the next 5 scores to lead by 4 points.  Shandonagh came back up the field and goaled again and went in 2 up at the break.  We came out and scored 1-1 without reply but that was as good as it got and Shandonagh finished very strongly.  Our lads had a good year and this defeat was actually their first at any level all year which made it all the more difficult to take.  Having to field without 2 of our strong lads also didn't help but well done to all and we look forward to seeing your progress in the years to come.  Panel 2015 D Byrne, D Mullins, J Fannin, G Kelly, J Kane, A Gorman, C Claffey, C Ennis, P Gorman, D Corbally, P Sheridan, A O Neill, R Forde, B Berry, C Corcoran, D Ennis, S Coyne, W Higgins, J Bracken, S Berry, J Murphy

Our U-6 team played in a blitz hosted by Athlone on Sunday morning last.  Moate fielded two teams on the day which at the end of a long season is a testament to the spirit of the mentors, parents and kids themselves.  Well done to everyone involved.

Finally the 3rd and 4th games in the street leagues will be played on Tuesday and Friday this week in Hogan Park at 6.45.
