U16 Premier Championship Final

Raharney and Clonkill contested the U16 Premier final on Saturday afternoon last in Robinstown.  Backboned by a number of the u16 county team, Raharney put in a blistering first half performance to go in well up at half time.  To their credit Clonkill fought hard in the second half but Raharney withstood the pressure to be crowned U16 Champions for 2015.  See elsewhere in the paper for match report.

Senior & Junior Finals
Next Saturday the club championships reach their conclusion with the Junior and Senior finals being played as part of a quadruple header in Cusack Park.  On what promises to be a fantastic day's sport St. Brigids and Clonkill contest the Junior final at 11:30am whilst Raharney take on Lough Lene Gaels in the Senior final at 1:00pm.  Both finals are a repeat of last year and St. Brigids and Raharney will no doubt be looking to overturn last year's results, while Clonkill and Lough Lene Gaels will be attempting to win back to back finals.

Childrens' Cardiac Screening

The Paediatric Practice is based in Market Point Medical Complex, Unit 6A , Off Patrick Street Mullingar,Co Westmeath.

 

We are now offering a new service ( Children's Cardiac Screening).  We carry out a cardiac screening exercise on all teenagers who are actively involved in sports.

 

We feel this exercise is necessary due to recent tragic events whereby apparently healthy teenagers collapsed while playing games.

 

The exercise will involve physical examination and an ECG tracing of the heart. Children who are found to have abnormal physical examination or abnormal ECG tracing, will be urgently referred to a cardiologist.

 

We shall accept children between the ages of 13 - 17 years of age.  The cost for this examination will be €70.00.  We take group bookings and we can also travel to your club if necessary.  Please contact us for any additional information you may require on 044 9385961
