Underage Training
U8's train on Tuesday evenings @ 6pm. The U10's will train Tuesday evening @ 6:30pm, U12&U14 training on Tuesday & Thursday evenings @ 6:30pm. All new members welcome. 

Senior  Championship
On Sunday last, Sept 20th our Senior hurlers played Delvin in the last round of Championship matches, with a win needed to secure a place in the semi-final. On a terrible wet day with heavy rain at times, conditions were never going to allow for a great game of hurling. What followed in the first half was a very scrappy stop start performance from the Pollard Team as they struggled to adapt to the conditions. Delvin  were 1-02 to 0-02 ahead after 10mins, with the goal comming from a long delivery into the Pollard square and somehow decieving the Pollard defenders and keeper bouncing into the back of the net. The Pollard scores comming from D.O'Reilly and A.Devine.  Both Teams then traded points with the Pollard scorers being D.Murray(0-01), C.Fagan(0-01), D.McCormack(0-01) and  A.Devine(0-02, 1fr).   At half-time three points separated the sides on a scoreline of Castlepollard 0-08 to Delvin 1-08. The Pollard faithful were worried and hoping for a better showing in the second half. They were not disappointed.  Pollard were back level following three excellent scores from D.McCormack, A.Devine and D.Murray within  as many minutes of  the restart.  The rejuvenated Pollard Team cut loose in the second half and went on to score 1-10 to Delvin's 0-4. Pollard were now dominant throughout the field at this stage. The entire back line was unshakable, with D.Murrary and K.Brazil controlling midfield. Darren McCormack finished off a fine solo run and pass from J.Mcarthy with a well taken goal. Indeed McCormack finished the second half with 1-02 and McCarthy contributing 0-02 and star foward Devine a further 0-06.   The final score was Castlepollard 1-21; Delvin 1-12.
Despite the awful weather conditions this was an improved and determined display by the whole team in the second half.

Devine,C.Dermody, Alan Devine (0-11, 0-4 from frees), Darren McCormack (1-03), C.Fagan(0-01), D.O'Reilly(0-01). Subs: John McCarthy(0-02) for C.Dermody(25mins), P.Dermody for J.Rabbitte(39mins), Michael Murray for D.O'Reilly(52mins).

Bingo
Our weekly Bingo continues every Sunday night at 8.30pm in the Hurling Complex.  There was no winner of the Main Jackpot of  €15,000 last Sunday night.  Our 2nd Jackpot of €4,600 was not won and now stands at €4,700. 
   Bonus Ball Game #1 :- lucky winner of  €100 prize was Sabrina Gibbons.
   Bonus Ball Game #2 :- lucky winner of  €100 prize was Patricia Murphy.

Get Well Wishes
We wish Mick Rhyne who was ill recently a speedy recovery.

Lotto Draw
Our next Lotto draw will take place at the Bingo on Sunday 27th  September 2015.  New Jackpot will be €9,800.
