This weekend sees the last round of senior hurling championship group games take place.

Five teams are still in the hunt for the four semi-final places and by Sunday afternoon all should be confirmed.

Castlepollard's win over Lough Lene Gaels in the last round brings them right back into the mix and they will be fancied to defeat Delvin on Sunday.

Clonkill, Raharney and Lough Lene Gaels have nine points at this stage and a win for Pollard would put them on level terms with that trio.

Castletown-Geoghegan are the fifth team involved and their clash with Clonkill is of mammoth proportion as a win for the Loughegar outfit and a Pollard win would see the black and ambers eliminated.

Raharney should seal their place in the last four with a win over a struggling St Oliver Plunkett's side, while the Gaels are also fancied to see off the challenge of St Brigid's and progress to the penultimate stage.

As it stands, Delvin and St Oliver Plunkett's will meet in the relegation play-off but a win for either or both would see a play-off needed, once the Gaels beat Brigid's.
