Busy weekend on the football front

There is plenty of action to keep Gaelic football supporters appetite whetted this weekend.

All weekend, there is an array of games down for decision in the senior, intermediate and junior football championship.

The action begins on Friday evening as the two JFC quarterfinals take place with Cusack Park hosting the meeting of Kilbeggan Shamrocks and Athlone or Mullingar Shamrocks, 6.45pm throw in.

The second JFC QF sees Moate host the meeting of Ballycomoyle and Garrycastle and this one also throws in at 6.45pm.

Also down for decision on Friday evening is the IFC relegation play off between Ballinagore and Castletown/Finea/Coole/Whitehall. This match takes place in Kinnegad at 6.30pm.

On Saturday afternoon, Cusack Park, Mullingar hosts a doubleheader as Castledaly meet Killucan (1pm) and this is followed by the meeting of St Loman's v. Coralstown/Kinnegad at 2.30pm.

Sunday sees two IFC quarterfinals down for decision as Rosemount meet Shandonagh at Cusack Park at 5.15pm, and this will be followed by the clash between Tubberclair and Moate All Whites, 6.45pm.
